quilting with old denim jean fabric
l have been collecting old jeans for some time and l wanna use them to make
a quilt using the ''lone star'' or ''star of Bethlehem'' pattern. l also
need some directions. l have quilted before, but only with square blocks.
i'm sure this will be a different animal and l sure could use any help
here. will be piecing by machine. quilting by machine/by hand/sending out
to be quilted by someone with a long arm machine. thanks for your efforts and replies
There is no problem making quilts with denim, but there may be
a problem with the patterns you have selected.remember how heavy denim
is.it is not going to be suitable for the fine points you are planning.
Plan that all seams will be bulky.it may be best to plan a block quilt
from this fabric, perhaps a log cabin.but I do not think you will be happy
with a star type quilt. Good luck
